Suspect jacks up pickup truck to steal wheels

Incident happened last month on 4300 block of Boban Drive

The owner of a truck and the Nanaimo RCMP are looking for the truck’s rear wheels and whoever took them.

According to a police press release, the rear wheels were stolen from a truck sometime overnight March 15. The tires were still on the truck, parked on the 4300 block of Boban Drive, at about 6 p.m. the night before, but were gone in the morning and police surmise the culprits would have needed to jack the vehicle up to remove the wheels, valued at about $1,000.
