Suspect sought after he spit at worker through Coquitlam drive-thru window

Coquitlam RCMP say he tried to use an electric scooter to go through the McDonald’s drive-thru

Coquitlam RCMP is looking to identify a suspect who spit at a fast-food restaurant worker through a drive-thru window.

The suspect, a man, was attempting to order food through the McDonald’s drive-thru, located at 2725 Barnet Hwy., while on an electric scooter on May 1.

Police say when he was told he couldn’t order food, he spat at the employee through the window. Video footage shows him riding away immediately after.

“We take reports of workplace violence very seriously as everyone deserves to feel safe at work,” Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said.

The suspect is described as 30 to 40 years old, with a slim build and a dark, short beard. He was wearing a light grey bicycle helmet, a dark jacket with two white lines down the shoulders and arms, a light blue shirt, dark pants and a dark backpack.

Coquitlam RCMP is asking anyone who may have information about the investigation to contact the detachment at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2024-10907.
