The RBC bank on Trunk Road in Duncan was the victim of a robbery at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5.
The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment is reporting that a lone man walked into the bank and handed a note to the teller stating that he had a gun. He demanded money.
The teller provided an undisclosed amount of cash to the man, who fled the scene on foot.
The man is described as being white, about 30 to 34 years old, clean shaven, with healthy looking skin, a ring in his right ear, wearing a grey tuque and a grey fleece jacket.
The robbery is still under investigation and police are looking for any witnesses that may have been in the area at the time of the incident and observed the suspect.
