Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a report of assault with a weapon and threats stemming from a police incident Thursday night.
Police were called to the condominium unit in the 11100 block of 232 Street just after 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, a male had gained entrance to a residence without permission.
He then allegedly threatened the occupants of the home while brandishing a knife.
Members of Ridge Meadows RCMP, Lower Mainland District’s Emergency Response Team, the Integrated Police Dog Services, and Air One responded and a thorough search of the residence and surrounding area was conducted. However, the suspect was not located.
“The suspect is known, and the search for his whereabouts continues,” Cpl. Brenda Winpenny said. “There is no indication he poses a threat to the general public, and investigators are working with the residents of the home to ensure their safety.”
