Pitt Meadows is about to start its spring cleaning.
Next week, April 9 to 13, the cleaners hit the streets for a full sweep to remove last winter’s sand and gravel. The city is asking residents to ensure vehicles, basketball hoops or anything else isn’t blocking the road.
More details are the city’s website.
Maple Ridge is also keeping things tidy and uses sweepers to clean up the sand so that it doesn’t wear away street markings or end up clogging storm drains. Every Monday and Friday morning, from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., the sweepers do all of the downtown streets.
