Teamsters can win wagon at upcoming North Thompson Fall Fair in Barriere

The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo are getting the word out to all teamsters who are thinking about entering in the Heavy Horses Section #23 of the annual Fall Fair event. Convenors for this section note that although the section name says Heavy Horses, it is not just about the big guys, but all horses used for driving.

“The heavy horse barn at the fall fair is trying to promote all horses in harness,” says Mike Chappell, “This means in the future we may see more and more drivers of all breeds – Mini’s, Canadians, mules, light horses, etcetera.”

Chappell says the goal is to engage the public and teamsters alike in the art of driving. For example, those other than Heavy or Draft horses can already compete in fall fair classes being offered such as log skid, team driving, cart single, funny farm, and more.

Chappell also notes the entry catalogue is now out, but has a misprint on page 65 in regards to those teamsters eligible to win a brand new Oak Trail Wagon.

To win this beautiful wagon;

• You do not need to have entered at the fall fair last year.

• You must enter a minimum of two classes in Section 23 in 2018.

• You will receive one ticket to be entered in the draw for the new wagon.

You can find the 69th annual North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo entry catalogues at area businesses or go to: ntfallfair-rodeo.com
