Teck reaches collective agreement with Line Creek employees

Teck announced that a new five-year agreement has been ratified by employees at its Line Creek Operations.

On Oct. 19, Teck announced that a new five-year agreement has been ratified by employees at its Line Creek Operations. The new agreement replaces an old agreement, which expired on May 31 of 2014.

The agreement covers the 390 unionized employees at Line Creek who are represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOC) Local 115.

“Our focus is on reaching an agreement that is fair to employees and supports the ongoing viability of the operation,” said Nic Milligan, Manager of Community and Aboriginal Affairs for Teck in response to the new agreement.

The IUOC Local 115 representative was unavailable for comment at press time.
