Terrace RCMP report a very busy 24 hours from 9 am Oct. 20 to 7 am Oct. 21, 2011.
Downtown Terrace:
– report of two vehicles chasing each other in the area of Hanson St. and Scott Ave.
– report of a youth threatening another youth on Facebook
– found baggie containing 7 grams of cannabis
– fight behind Spirit Night Club
– male arrested and lodged in cells for public intoxication following reports of a male yelling and waving his shirt along Kalum Street.
– police apprehended 3 separate impaired drivers overnight
– a 23 year old Terrace man was taken into custody for assaulting his girlfriend
– report of a woman texting threats to another woman
– a 13 year old female was taken into custody and held for court for breaching her release conditions for the third time in less than a week. The youth is also charged with possession of stolen property, theft under $5,000, break and enter and possession of break-in instruments.
– hit and run in the parking lot at the Coast Cold Beer & Wine Store.
– a male youth was arrested for breaching his release conditions
– male arrested at a Hanson St apartment for breaching his release conditions
– police are investigating a break, enter and theft from a downtown business overnight
– around 6:30 am a 30 year old male was arrested for public intoxication at a downtown ATM. He was lodged in cells.
Elsewhere in Terrace:
– report of uttering threats
– report of an unlicenced driver
– unfounded report of possible child abuse
– at 11:30 pm police responded to a report of loud noise at the Kalum Street Skate Board Park. Police learned that a fight had taken place between two groups of youth and that alcohol was involved.
– intoxicated male located on Park Ave
– a Pear Street resident reported a bear on her front porch overnight. The bear was last seen
running into the woods.
– police attended to a loud party complaint at a Hanson Street apartment and discovered several highly intoxicated adults along with several small children. Two men were arrested. The Ministry of Family & Children Services were contacted . A sober relative was located and attended the apartment to care for the children
– disturbance at a Scott Ave apartment
– a male youth was arrested overnight for breaching his release conditions
– report of another male youth breaching his release conditions
– shortly before 6:00 am police responded to a report of two people in the yard of a Kalum Street residence
Thornhill:
– theft from a front porch in Timberland Trailer Court
– report of a vehicle doing donuts in a church parking lot
Kitsumkalum:
– a dog was attacked by three other dogs, the owner of two of the dogs surrendered his to the SPCA who are now investigating.
Rural:
– rock slide on Hwy # 16 east
