TERRACE RCMP and the BC Coroners Service continue to investigate a two-vehicle collision on River Drive in Thornhill shortly after 1 a.m. which took the life of an 18-year-old local female.

“Police officers arrived on scene to find paramedics and the local fire department providing medical care to the two drivers, who were the sole occupants of the vehicles, a Honda and Toyota,” said Terrace RCMP in a statement this afternoon.

“Both were taken by ambulance to the hospital. At the hospital, the driver of the Honda, an 18-year-old female, succumbed to her injuries,” the statement continued.

“The driver of the Toyota received non-life threatening injuries.”

Other reports indicate the Toyota was a taxi cab.
