The two sides in the labour dispute at the Vancouver Art Gallery have reached a tentative agreement, following a nearly week-long strike.

Unionized workers represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 15 walked off the job last Tuesday morning over proposed changes to scheduling, wages and other issues.

They held a rally on the weekend, with members from the BC Government Employees Union.

On Monday, a spokeswoman for the gallery said the workers and employer had reached an tentative deal with the help of a mediator.

Workers were set to vote on the deal at noon on Monday.

The union has not yet returned a request for comment.
