Wanted on warrants for kidnapping, extortion

Terrace RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Ira Adam Bryant of Terrace BC. He is described as 6’3 in height, 196 pounds, and 33-years-old with moustache and beard a diamond tattoo on his right arm.

Bryant is wanted on an unendorsed warrant for kidnapping and extortion.

Man found beaten, bleeding

Terrace RCMP are asking for the public’s help in determining what happened to a man found bleeding downtown Terrace on Thursday after lunch.

Around 12:45 p.m. on May 17, 2018, Terrace RCMP received a report of an assault on the 4600 block of Park Avenue. Police arrived to find a man bleeding from the mouth and suffering from facial injuries. He was unable to recall who hit him or with what. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything, have information about this incident, or video surveillance to please contact Terrace RCMP.

Second suspected arson

For the second time in a week, the Terrace RCMP is requesting the public’s help in their investigation of suspected arson.

On Monday, May 14, around 11 p.m., Terrace RCMP received a report from the Terrace Fire Department regarding a structure fire on the 4500 block of Park Avenue. Police arrived to find the fire department had already put out the blaze.

Police forensic and dog services were called to the area to assist with the investigation.

Prior to this, on May 11 RCMP received a report of a break and enter and fire at the kitchen trailer parked roadside on the 4800 block of Graham Avenue.

Upon arrival, police observed heavy smoke emanating from the Puckered Pig Mobile Bistro.

Terrace Fire Department arrived quickly to extinguish the blaze that erupted through the roof of the trailer and engulfed the kitchen. According to an RCMP press release, witnesses reported two people running from the scene of the crime, one of which ran northbound on Beach Street.

The Terrace Police Dog and Forensic Identification Services units also attended this scene to assist in the investigation.
