Terrace RCMP arrests alleged suspect in assault that sent woman to hospital

Woman remains in stable condition in Vancouver hospital

Police arrested a suspect without incident March 2 in relation to a serious assault on Medeek Avenue.

Just after 7 a.m. on February 26, 2017, Terrace RCMP attended an address on Medeek Avenue for a report of a woman located inside with serious injuries.

The woman was flown to hospital in Vancouver and is currently in stable condition.

“The investigative skills of our local Terrace RCMP officers led to the quick discovery of information related to this vicious assault,” said Sgt. Michael Robinson, the detachment’s acting officer in charge. “Local police teams put forth a great effort in gathering evidence to help identify a suspect and make an arrest.”
