POLICE ARE looking for public assistance to find the culprits responsible for two break-ins in the past month.

Northern Industrial Supply on Kalum St. suffered a break and enter over the July long weekend when someone cut a hole in the chain link fencing, accessing a rear storage area, said police in a release July 2.

Unsuccessful attempts were made to steal a Husqvarna lawn mower.

Someone broke into Neid Enterprises sometime in June, also cutting a hole in the chain link fencing on the back side, which was discovered on June 28, said police.

It has been determined that a boat motor described as a 15 hp Honda four stroke long shaft was stolen from the back of a boat parked in the compound, said police.

Thieves are generally opportunists. The saying ‘out of sight, out of mind’ is good advice to live by. Take a look around your home and business and make note of what you see and take preventative measures to protect your valuables, says Const. Angela Rabut, media relations/community policing Terrace RCMP.
