Drugs and cash were seized during a traffic stop last night and a 49 year-old Terrace man is held for court, report RCMP.

The arrest followed a traffic stop on Substation Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. after police recognized a man driving who was prohibited from doing so.

Police say the driver of a blue Dodge Avenger pulled into a driveway and the driver quickly exited and attempted to walk away.

“He had to return when the car that was not in park began to roll backwards into the police vehicle,” a police report stated.

“Police arrested the man. Investigation led to an amount of money, a cell phone, powder and crack cocaine, and heroin being seized,” the report continued.

Charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and driving while prohibited have been forwarded to Crown Counsel.
