If there’s a picture of calm, cool and collected before a show, it’s this shot of The Joy Formidable in Keloha’s very green Greenroom. Surrounded by a gazebo’s worth of vines in Kelowna’s Waterfront Park, bands get a quick interlude with media before hitting the stage.

Numbers have yet to be tallied but the inaugural indie music festival, which opened it’s doors at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 6 is expect to see 15,000 ticket holders transit its doors before the weekend is over.

Stay tuned for our chat with The Joy Formidable and more coverage of the events.
