Two teams visiting 130 communities this summer to generate awareness

Summer Ambassadors for the B.C. Used Oil Management Association and Tire Stewardship B.C. were in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area last week to promote the recycling of used oil, antifreeze, tires and various other products.

Tiffany Lau and Tori Romano visited the Return-It bottle depots and various businesses involved in recycling to promote their various partner groups.

The pair are one of two teams visiting hundreds of collection facilities in 130 communities throughout the province to generate awareness to keep the recyclable materials away from landfills and out of drinking water.
