They’re Rockin’ the Vote

SEVERAL LOCAL students union members from Northwest Community College let their voices be heard at a students’ conference on Vancouver Island recently.

ShaIane Pauls, who is from the Tsimshian/Tahltan Nation, and the other delegates who came with her, helped kick off the Rock the Vote campaign, which encourages students to vote.

She spoke about the importance of voting, being involved and being informed.

Pauls is the provincial representative for the local here, Local 66 for the students’ union.
