A man was arrested Tuesday after police, responding to a call about a break-in at a Canadian Tire store, caught him exiting a back door.
Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a commercial alarm just before 2 a.m. and spotted the man coming out of the store on 200th Street.
Police allege the man stole more than $4,000 in merchandise from the store.
The 40-year-old Maple Ridge resident is not known to police and does not have a significant police record. He was released from custody with a promise to appear in court.
