Thief caught red-handed at Grand Forks’ Winnipeg Hotel on Nov. 21

A routine patrol by Grand Forks RCMP in the early-morning hours of Nov. 21 led to the arrest of a male in the Winnipeg Hotel.

Grand Forks RCMP officers noticed someone inside the Winnipeg Hotel when they were conducting a regular patrol around the area on Nov. 21 at about 1:30 a.m.

“Further investigation revealed that a male was there removing some flooring material,” said Grand Forks RCMP Cpl. Richard Lanz. “The male was arrested and it was determined he was breaching his conditions of curfew and was arrested and lodged in a cell.”

The male is currently waiting to appear in court at a later date.
