Thieves make off with sink faucet

Nanaimo thieves swipe sink faucet and microwave but leave big appliances behind

Thieves snatched a new sink faucet and microwave, but couldn’t handle the major appliances.

The break-in happened at a new condominium development in Nanaimo’s Hammond Bay area on Currie Place on Thursday, Oct. 26.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, one or possibly more suspects entered through an unlocked sliding glass door and made off with a new sink faucet and microwave.

Thieves also tried unsuccessfully to steal a washer and dryer set and fridge, which were found pulled out from their installation positions.
