Police are asking once again for any information related to an overnight break-and-enter at the Judy Hill Gallery on Station Street in June.
“We are making a second plea to the public, asking if anyone has any information regarding this $40,000 theft, to please contact the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP,” Cpl. Krista Hobday said.
Several pieces of jewelry depicting West Coast art were taken from a display case at the gallery around 3:40 a.m. on June 15. Police responded to a burglar alarm and found the front window smashed and the culprits gone.
“Given it has been a couple of months, the thieves may feel comfortable moving the stolen items,” Hobday said. “We are asking local pawn shops and flea market customers and employees to keep an eye out for this jewelry.”
