Oceanside RCMP say they are asking for the public’s help in locating two young men who allegedly broke into the local Tim Hortons and stole an undisclosed amount of sandwich meat and bagels.
Police said the break-and-enter occurred just before 3 a.m. Sunday night at the Tim Hortons located along Island Highway East in Parksville.
RCMP said two male suspects forced the drive-through window open, climbed into the store, took sandwich meat and bagels and fled the scene on foot. The release made no mention of broken windows or monetary theft.
RCMP describe the culprits as Caucasian men in their late 20s, one wearing a red hoodie and the other wearing a dark-colored hoodie.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact the Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
