Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 93 calls for service from October 3rd, 8 a.m. till October 6th, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, 21 people were lodged in Terrace cells – 17 of these people were lodged for intoxication.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
Fraud investigation. An email was received and personal information was sent to collect money. Money was not received.
Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a 27-year-old woman for shoplifting. Police spoke with the woman. She is banned from the store.
A man talking to a TV and acting in an irrational manner. Police apprehended a 42-year-old man under the Mental Health Act.
Stolen money. A man met two people getting off the Greyhound bus and thought they were nice so offered his residence for a place to stay. Money went missing and so did the two strangers.
A grey 2013 GMC Sierra truck was pulled over on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. The 32-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was transported to the detachment where he refused to provide samples of breath. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
A brown 1990 Chevrolet backed into a red 2010 Dodge D150 that was parked in a driveway on Kalum Rd. Police attended and observed the driver of the Chevrolet passed out in the driver’s seat. The 43-year-old woman was transported to the detachment where she provided samples of breath that exceeded the legal limit. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Three girls in hoodies checking for unlocked vehicles in the area of the 4600 block of Scott Ave.
Group of youths doing drugs in the Suwilaawks school grounds. Police spoke with five boys, aged 15, and destroyed some drugs and drug paraphernalia at the scene.
A man locked in a bathroom at the Copperside on Kalum St. and refusing to come out. Police arrested a 19-year-old man for breaching probation condition of not to consume alcohol. The man is held for court.
Suicidal 30-year-old man. Police located the man passed out in the grass near George Little House. The man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital.
A man being threatened. Police arrested a 29-year-old man for breaching an undertaking condition of no contact with a person. He is held for court.
Two incidents of passengers being denied flight service. Police arrested a 33-year-old man when he was asked to leave by staff and refused. In the second incident, a man was located inside of his running vehicle in the parking lot. He provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in fails. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
Three bass guitars were stolen from a grey 2003 Pontiac Sunfire parked outside of the Elks Club on Tetrault St. on Oct 5th around midnight. The driver’s side window was smashed out.
Missing 14-year-old girl.
Two bikes were found outside of the Terrace Little Theatre. The first bike is a white Rocky Mountain Fusion 18-speed. The second bike is a green Jeep mountain bike 18-speed.
