Three men – two with serious stab wounds – are in hospital after a house party in Surrey turned violent.
Surrey RCMP were called early Thursday (March 15) morning by a man who had been stabbed in the arm and upper torso. Police learned he had been attacked at a party in the basement suite of a home near 131 Street and 101 Avenue.
When they went to the house at about 7:30 a.m., they found another man badly beaten and unconscious with head injuries.
A third call then came into police from an apartment near 139 Street and 70 Avenue, where a third man had shown up with serious stab wounds to his stomach. He had apparently taken a bus to the apartment.
As of about 10 a.m. Thursday, Surrey RCMP said that while all the men were in serious condition in hospital, the man who was stabbed in the abdomen was in the most dire condition.
The house where the party was held is familiar to police for “various disturbances,” and all three wounded men, who are in their late 20s and 30s, are also known for multiple past drug offences and property crimes.
Surrey RCMP believe the incident was drug- and alcohol-fueled, but it remains unclear if the victims – who aren’t cooperating with police – were part of the same altercation or if others were involved.
No one has been charged and the investigation continues.
