Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 37 calls for service from September 4th, 8 a.m. till September 5th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, five people were lodged in Terrace cells – one of these people was lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Group of youth skateboarding on Lazelle Ave. preventing traffic from parking. Police spoke with the group.

Police observed an intoxicated man in Brolly Square. The 50-year-old man was arrested.

Fight in front of the Northern Saving Credit Union on Lazelle Ave. Police spoke with a group. Consensual. No injuries.

Elsewhere Terrace

A three-year-old boy wearing only a pair of shorts and no shoes wandering in the area of the Legion on Greig Ave. Police took custody of the boy and requested the assistance of Ministry of Children and Families.

Theft from an unlocked grey 2012 Dodge Ram parked on Weber Ave. A wallet containing various cards and ID was stolen.

Damage to an apartment building on Sparks St. At approximately 2 a.m. on September 4th, a large vehicle struck an overhanging balcony breaking a baluster and causing significant damage. Police are looking for any information and witnesses to come forward.

Warrants were issued for a 52-year-old woman, a 34-year-old woman, and a 44-year-old man for failing to attend court.

Four rings were stolen from a business on Tetrault St. on August 30th during store hours.

Hit and run to a 2006 Chevrolet parked outside of the Medical Building sometime during 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

A man who appears disoriented playing with a knife sitting outside of the Medical Building on Park Ave. Police located the man a short distance away. He was cleaning his fingernails.

Familial dispute. Police spoke with the people involved and it was agreed to separate till cooler heads could prevail.

Theft of cell phone from Mills Memorial Hospital.

Police observed a man known to be prohibited from driving operate a grey 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche on Davis Ave./Sparks St. The vehicle accelerated away from police and parked in a driveway on Loen Ave. The driver fled on foot. Police caught up with the 48-year-old man a short time later and arrested him for driving while prohibited. He is held for court.

Suicidal 16-year-old girl. Police spoke with the people involved.

A yellow 18-speed CCM Mountain bike with black trim and a red locking mechanism wrapped around the seat post was stolen from the front yard of a residence on Agar Ave.

Drug activity reported.

Intoxicated 13-year-old girl in a school yard on Loen Ave. She was transported by BC Ambulance to Mills Memorial Hospital due to her level of intoxication.

Possible impaired driver on Keith Ave. in a blue F150. Checks were done of the area.

Group of people drinking and partying in bush on a vacant lot on Scott Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Loud music on Gair Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Disturbance on McConnell Ave. Police located a group of youth and a fire. Terrace Fire Department attended and put the fire out. The group dispersed on police arrival.

Two males screaming walking down Pear St. towards Haugland Ave. Police spoke with an intoxicated 21-year-old man.

Luring investigation.

A vehicle was purchased on the Terrace Buy and Sell Facebook page. Partial payment was made and now the vehicle is not working so further payments have not been made. Threats were uttered. Police spoke with the people involved.

Suspicious person parked at a playground. Police spoke with the man.

Thornhill

Domestic assault. Police arrested a 48-year-old man. He is held for court.

Unwanted firearm.

False business alarm on Clark St.

Suicidal 35-year-old man. Police apprehended the man under the Mental Health Act and transported him to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Ongoing issues of speeding vehicles on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. Checks were done.

Gitaus

A woman wanted a ride back to town because a situation was escalating. Police spoke with the people involved. Unfounded.

False business alarm on Gitaus Rd.

Rural

Abandoned green Volvo with Alberta plates on Hwy 113. The vehicle is not obstructing traffic.
