Monday night’s storm that rolled through Cranbrook and area kept dispatch and firefighters busy at the Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services dealing with a large number of calls.
In Cranbrook, a total of five calls for assistance were received including a lightning cause structure fire on Innis Avenue near Confederation Park. Crews responded and were able to contain the fire to the attic of the building. The occupant of the building was not home at the time, so there were no injuries.
