A 15-month-old girl died tragically after being accidentally struck by a truck in the Big Eddy early Saturday afternoon.
Revelstoke RCMP say they were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision in the industrial area of the Big Eddy at around 1 p.m.
There, they found the young girl died after she was accidentally struck by a truck. She was with her parents.
“Police have ruled out foul play. This has been determined to be a tragic incident,” wrote Staff-Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky in a news release.
The scene was attended to by the RCMP, BC Ambulance, and Victim Services. The BC Coroners Service is investigating the incident.
The victim has not been identified.
