The Campbell River Dog Fanciers Society had a successful show again last weekend.
The weather was sunny, Nunn’s Creek Park is a fantastic venue and exhibitors came from all over the Island, the Mainland, B.C., Washington State, Oregon, California and as far as Kentucky.
“We had about 200 dogs entered each day and our biggest winner was a Siberian Husky called GChEx Snowmist’s Wind N’ Reigning,” said Irmeli Wharton, show chair. “Sky, as he is called for short, is the #4 show dog in Canada currently with 15 Best in Shows to his name.”
Show judges came from B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec and they and all were complimentary about how beautiful Campbell River was and the great dogs they saw here, Wharton said.
