Tot to Teen Expo back again

Calling all tots, teenagers and in-betweeners.

The Tot to Teen Expo is a free admission family event happening at the Parkinson Rec Centre Feb. 11-12, (Family Day weekend).

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days and is a great way to shop, learn, and have fun. Guests will receive a free welcome bag with great coupons and samples and can enter to win prizes.

“We are excited to have a bowling lane from Capri Valley Lanes and cookie decorating from Nannysitters set up in our Free Fun Zone,” said Shara Mendoza, event organizer and mom of three.

There will be over 50 exhibitors at the expo with products and services for families such as: private schools, swimming lessons, eco-friendly and healthy kids products, toys, unique kids clothing, kids décor, counseling, financial planning for families, and more.

This year, the organizers are placing an emphasis on healthy families by encouraging exhibitors from the health and wellness industry to share and educate.

While there will be plenty of shopping and learning for parents at the event, kids will love the fun activities the organizers have planned.

One of the highlights that the organizers are also excited about is Quality Farms Hatch-a-Chick’s chick holding station.

“The kids will get to hold a new baby chick and learn about chickens. Quality Farms is also bringing an incubator and will have a live chick hatching at the event. We are also really happy to have the Library coming to do scheduled Library Storytime,” said Alma Gurgol, event organizer and also a mom of three.

Local businesses will be having great deals available at the event, such as Safari Ridge. They will be handing out coupons for 12 paintball players for the price of four.

You can view a complete list of the Exhibitors by visiting the website. There are also a few booths available for exhibitors, they can find information and register on the website as well. There is also a Facebook event page if you’d like to share the info with your friends at
