More than 500 volunteers are needed for Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria.

Volunteer positions are available for everything from road marshall to rider package pick up.

“This is a great opportunity to be part of an amazing cycling event and volunteer in your own community. The ride goes through 12 municipalities in Greater Victoria and there is wide-variety of volunteer positions, so we’ve got something for everyone,” said Seamus McGrath, event co-ordinator.

The Tour de Victoria is now in its third year and expects to draw more than 2,500 cyclists to ride throughout Greater Victoria, Sept. 20-22.

No cycling experience is necessary to volunteer. Interested volunteers can check out available positions and register online at www.tourdevictoria.com/volunteers/volunteer-overview.
