Tourism grant $

To help grow and promote local tourism, the communities in the Nechako Lakes area are eligible to receive funding towards marketing and development projects.

Eligible communities include: Vanderhoof ($6,500), Burns Lake - ($9,200), Fort St. James ($9,200) and Houston ($3,800). This funding assists communities that are in a position to implement their own tourism building initiatives which will support advertising, tourist-related signage, audio walking tours, online activities, tourism brochures, and research.

“The smaller communities in my riding have much to offer tourists who visit. The funding offered by the CTO program will enhance these communities’ abilities to promote themselves further,” said Nechako Lakes MLA John Rustad in a release.
