Town of Qualicum Beach and City of Parksville provide update for civic office practices

Both offices encourage remote contact through email or by phone

A release issued on April 20 from Emergency Management Oceanside detailed the current practices for Qualicum Beach and Parksville civic offices.

Qualicum Beach town hall remains open to the public, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (expect on statutory holidays). Town staff are available via email, at qbtown@qualicumbeach.com, or phone, at 250-752-6921, until 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Town staff are happy to help in person when needed, but encourages residents to conduct business remotely when possible. Masks remain mandatory when visiting town hall.

The Parksville Civic and Technology Centre, at 100 Jensen Ave., is only open for in-person services for the payment of tickets or licence fees, and the purchase of bus passes. Access to the building is from Jensen Avenue east side, and masks remain mandatory before entry. Visitors will be asked to provide contract information for tracing.

All other Parksville city business must be by appointment, since walk-in services are unavailable.
