Last Thursday at approximately 3 a.m. it was reported that a large amount of rocks and debris had let loose off one of the rock cliffs in the Bulkley Canyon between Hazelton and Moricetown and it was blocking part of one of the eastbound lanes.
While the slide was one of the larger slides in that particular area in the past few yeast it managed to pile itself in the ditch and not block the entire three lanes as it did three years ago. Work crews had to reduce the Highway to one lane alternating traffic for most of the day but managed to have all three lanes reopened by the end of the day.
