TRAFFIC: Multi-vehicle crash on Highway 3 near Manning Park

Wildfire smoke has affected visibility in the area

A multiple-vehicle crash on Highway 3 south of Hope snarled traffic in both lanes.

According to a photo from a witness, multiple vehicles were involved a crash early Wednesday (July 28) afternoon, including an RV and at least one other vehicle. The front driver’s side of the RV is badly damaged and another vehicle is damaged beyond recognition. It’s unknown if there are any injuries or fatalities as of publication.

DriveBC currently has no further details on the crash, but there is a travel advisory along Highway 3 in both directions between Manning Park Resort and Frontage Road due to a wildfire. Smoke from fire near Copper Creek has limited visibility in the area. The next visibility assessment is scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m.
