A utility trailer was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at a home in the 2900 block of 18th Street across from Lakeview Park Tuesday afternoon.

Vernon Fire Rescue Services responded to reports of a vehicle fire just before 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 21.

“Upon arrival, firefighters found a utility trailer fully involved and the fire was starting to spread to a nearby motorhome,” said City of Vernon communications manager Christy Poirier. “Firefighters extinguished the fire and stopped it from spreading further toward the motorhome.”
