Training homes sought for guide puppies

B.C. and Alberta Guide Dog Services and Autism Support Dogs are looking for volunteer puppy raisers in Greater Victoria.

The puppies are being trained to be guide dogs for people who are either visually impaired or living with autism.

Volunteering families would provide a home for the puppies at about eight weeks old until they are 14 to 18 months old.

Criteria includes having someone home during the day, being willing to take the dog everywhere and providing a secure outdoor space.
