Residents and businesses in the Cariboo Chilcotin still have time to “talk trash” this month.
The Cariboo Regional District’s online survey on waste, recycling, and composting option will remain open until Monday, Oct. 31.
Since the middle of September, CRD staff have been “talking trash” with residents and businesses at open houses throughout the region. So far, more than 156 people have attended to learn more and have their say on future programs to improve rural recycling, composting and yard waste, wood waste management, illegal dumping as well as education programs.
Once all feedback has been gathered, it will be presented to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee and then to the Cariboo Regional District board of directors for consideration and adoption.
The feedback is being used to help guide decisions on what options to include in the regional district’s Solid Waste Management Plan.
