He’s the second person to declare for the byelection, with Dave Sidhu announcing his bid on Feb. 22.

He made the announcement on his Facebook page on Monday (Feb. 22) evening.

Eros describes himself as a professional wrestler and community leader on that page. He is also the former general manager and banquet co-ordinator for Finnegan’s Pub and the Phoenix Ballroom, which closed in 2018.

He is one of the brains behind the Abbotsford-based Pacific Pro Wrestling, which debuted in 2019. PPW has been unable to run shows since the COVID-19 pandemic. The promotion’s last show occurred on Feb. 15, 2020 at the Abbotsford Arts Centre.

A big part of his mayoral campaign was to provide a younger and more-approachable voice at city hall. He spoke about wanting to focus on the insights learned as an “everyday average guy” living in Abbotsford. He also wanted his campaign to generate more interest amongst young voters.

Eros has not yet released a platform, but stated he will be releasing more details about his campaign in the coming days.

A date for the byelection has not yet been announced.
