Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 87 calls for service from March 10-13.

Here are some of the calls:

Police were requested to stand by and keep the peace at a location on Hwy 16. E.

A driver was observed by another motorist to be talking on his cellphone. Police spoke with the offender.

A found tablet was turned into Terrace RCMP. Police are attempting to locate its owner.

A woman reported losing her black purse and identification.

A man turned in a wallet he found several weeks ago. Attempts were made to contact the owner.

Police responded to a report of a home invasion and assault in Thornhill. Under investigation.

Threats being made by family members were reported. Parties were spoken with.

Police received a report of a suicidal person. Unsubstantiated.

A man requested police check the well-being of a woman. The woman later returned home.

A man was reported as suicidal. Unsubstantiated.

Pallets were suspected of being thrown on the train tracks at Sande Overpass and Greig Avenue. Police attended the area and did not see any pallets.

Police attended Kalum Lake for the report of lights observed in the distance. The caller was concerned someone could be in distress. No one was located.

A fight was reported in front of a business on Lakelse Avenue. Police attended.

An intoxicated man was at a business on Lakelse Avenue. Police transported the man to an alternative location.

A man reported his vehicle was moved without his consent. Under investigation.

An intoxicated youth was located at Hall Street and Haugland Avenue by an adult, who picked him up and brought him to the Terrace RCMP Detachment. Police received a related report about the youth being picked up by the adult. The youth was transported to hospital by EHS.

Police attended a possible break and enter on Sparks Street. A man reported his door was kicked in. Police attended. Nothing was taken and the caller believed he knew who was responsible. He wanted the incident documented.

A man was reported as uttering threats. Under investigation.

A man reported his son’s car had been egged. Police spoke with the vehicle’s owner.

A woman reported being assaulted by a neighbour. Both parties spoken with.

A 53-year-old man died suddenly on Kalum Street.

Three abandoned 911 calls were received from the same number. Police located the phone’s owner, who had made the calls in error.

A theft from a vehicle occurred on Haugland Avenue. A wallet was stolen.

A group of men were intoxicated behind a business on Lakelse Avenue. Two men were arrested for Cause a Disturbance and lodged in Terrace cells to sober up safely.

A suspicious man riding a bike and wearing a reflective jacket was reported on Sockeye Creek Street. Police patrolled the area.

An intoxicated woman was banging on a residence on Muller Drive. She was arrested for mischief and lodged in cells to sober up safely.

A man was arrested for breaching his probation order.

A man on Kalum Street received a three-day driving prohibition and vehicle impound for operating a vehicle with alcohol in his system. Other violations tickets were also issued.

A man was reported to be dealing cocaine out of a vehicle on Pine Street. Police attended. The vehicle was not located.

Police attended a residence on Grieg Avenue for a noise complaint. A violation ticket was issued.

A domestic assault occurred on Scott Street. A man was arrested.

Kids were reported shoplifting at a business on Hwy 16. Their parents were spoken with.

A man was passed out in front of a business on Greig Street during cold and snowy weather. He was transported to hospital.

Washing machines were damaged at a location on Sparks Street. Under investigation.

A vehicle crashed into a hydro box on the 4900 block of Scott Avenue.

A woman was screaming near Kalum Street and Graham Avenue. While investigating another matter, police observed a car towing a woman on a GT in the same area and realized the screams were not that of despair. Police made patrols for the vehicle and its tow once they were clear of the other matter.

A snowplow was struck by a red truck. No damage was observed to the plow. The truck left the scene.
