Two adults had to be pulled to safety on Tuesday afternoon after slipping down an embankment at Roger Creek.
The two people were sitting near the railroad tracks off of Roger Street when they slipped down.
Wes Patterson, Port Alberni Fire Department deputy chief, said one person may have been in the water, but not in distress, and the other was down close to the water.
Emergency crews pulled one person up the bank to safety and the other was pulled across the water to the Roger Creek field house. Both were turned over to BC Ambulance.
