Two people were injured during a violent invasion of a hotel room at the Coast Discovery Inn in Campbell River this past weekend.

A man sustained significant injuries as a result of the attack Saturday afternoon and was transported to hospital and treated for his injuries, according to a Campbell River RCMP report. A female victim was also injured during the incident.

While no formal charges have as yet been laid, police have arrested two individuals allegedly involved in the crime and are further investigating this incident.
