Oliver police continue to investigate two arsons that took place in Oliver last week.
Police are looking into the fire that destroyed the abandoned fruit stand on Main Street on May 5. That fire was set around midnight.
The second fire took place the following day when several cars were set on fire on Oliver Fire Department’s training grounds.
“Both are suspicious and deemed arson. They remain under investigation,” said Oliver RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth.
The Oliver Fire Department was called out to its own training grounds after someone set fire to several cars and a motorhome on Friday, May 7.
This arson comes on the heels of someone vandalizing several cars at the training grounds. The vehicles are used to train for extractions, multi-vehicle pile-ups and putting out car fires.
