Penticton RCMP have arrested two people in connection with separate robberies involving weapons.
Cpl. Ted Manchulenko said a 46-year-old Penticton woman was arrested Thursday in connection with the armed robbery of the Husky convenience store on Skaha Lake Road the morning of Nov. 18.
In the other matter, a 27-year-old Penticton man turned himself in at the detachment in relation to a Nov. 20 theft of a television from Wal-Mart.
Both suspects were released on promises to appear. The woman is scheduled to be in provincial court early in 2018 and the man later this year.
“Penticton RCMP would like to thank the community and citizens for their vigilance and observations which assisted police to make a positive identification of the female,” said Manchulenko in a press release Friday morning.
In that matter the owner of the store posted the surveillance video of the robbery taking place on social media shortly after the crime was committed.

That video showed a woman going through a bag and pulling out a knife, leaning over the counter and taking scratch and win tickets then stabbing the counter, receipt printer and computer screen and knocking the computer to the floor before going behind the counter and taking more items.
The masked suspect, wearing a pink hoodie and patterned pants, reportedly, unsuccessfully attempted to stab the cashier several times before pulling off the hood and leaving the building.
RCMP had received a number of anonymous tips as to her identity.
In the robbery at Wal-Mart, police had received a call about 7:15 p.m. from security at the store after man confronted while leaving the store with a television pulled a three or four inch knife on the guard and then left. According to police the man had apparently made more than one trip to the store and the goods taken were recovered.
An extensive police search of the region failed to turn up any sign of the suspect.
No one was injured in either incident.
