Two suspects on an overnight thieving spree

Drunk driver

Nov. 9, at 12:00 a.m. received a report from a local bar reporting a grossly intoxicated patron who was insistant on driving even after his keys were confiscated and declined offers of assistance to get home. Officers arrive on scene after he found another set of keys and drove away. Officers conduct a patrol and locate the vehicle and be is apprehended and charged with impaired driving.

Truck swap

Nov. 8, at 5:45 a.m. received a report from a family off Loop Road who observe a black 1-tonne 2013 Ford flat deck pick-up truck parked by their driveway, which does not belong to them, and their truck, a grey 2013 Ford 3/4 tonne truck is reported missing. The black truck is a recovered stolen vehicle from Prince George. The grey truck stolen from Vanderhoof is recovered in Prince George when a senior citizen reports observing a suspicious parked vehicle outside the seniors’ residence and provides a description of the suspect. The file is still under investigation as surveilance video is reviewed.

RV theft

Nov. 8, at 2:00 p.m. received a report of a stolen a 1996 motorhome from a residence, also off Loop Road. The family put a notice out on social media that afternoon and the next morning Nov. 9, someone recognised the RV in Prince George, called it in and RCMP recovered it. There is footage recovered from Pine Centre Mall where the motorhome was observed earlier and also reported.

Citizens were proactive in reporting, calling in suspicious occurences and aiding recoveries.

Attempted theft

Nov. 8, at 9:00 a.m. received a report of two unknown males in a light coloured diesel dually and witnessed them attempting to steal a CN truck from Hargraves Rd. They fled the scene after a disturbance.

Truck broken into

Nov. 8 at 8:00 a.m. received a report of an F 250 truck broken into, window smashed on Abby Drive off Loop Road. Several items were stolen including a 20 calibre handgun, buck knives, deer collars, hunting gear and ammunition.

Footwear tracks

Fresh snow around the recovered RV and all three above-mentioned abandoned trucks were parked reveal impressions of the same distinctive footwear, indicating the possibility that these files are linked.
