Two-vehicle accident east of Burns Lake Drivers sent to hospital

A motor vehicle accident involving two pick-up trucks took place east of Burns Lake sending two people to the hospital on Nov. 27.

A motor vehicle accident involving two pick-up trucks took place east of Burns Lake sending two people to the hospital on Nov. 27.

“The investigation is in its early stages but it is believed that a west bound pick up lost control, crossed the centre line and was struck by another oncoming pick up,” said Cpl. D.J. (Dave) Tyreman, spokesperson for the RCMP.

Both drivers were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The road was closed for approximately two and a half hours.

Tyreman said that at the time of the accident, the highway was reported to be “snow covered with blowing snow.”
