Two-vehicle rollover MVI blocks Port Alberni intersection

Anderson Avenue and Melrose Street are blocked off as crews deal with incident

No one was seriously injured after a rollover motor vehicle incident involving two vehicles in a residential Port Alberni area.

Emergency crews responded to the crash in the intersection of Anderson Avenue and Melrose Street on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The area was blocked off as crews dealt with a fuel spill.

Although there was property damage, there were no serious injuries, said Sgt. Peter Dionne of the Port Alberni RCMP.

Witnesses assisted in the investigation, said Dionne, and one person was charged with failing to obey a traffic control device.
