A crash near the intersection of Highway 18 and Youbou Road stopped traffic into Lake Cowichan Thursday morning, Aug. 9.
By noon, Cpl. Tammy Douglas, district advisory NCO for the Island’s RCMP, said her Lake Cowichan colleagues were “still on scene, so there is no information on the file yet.”
Nearby residents say they heard a crash, saw smoke and called 9-1-1 right away.
