Two City of Victoria parks are getting playground makeovers this year to meet national safety guidelines, and city staff want your input.

Alexander Park on Bay Street between Fernwood Road and Oregon Avenue, and Hollywood Park on Fairfield Road between St. Charles and Earle streets, will both be upgraded.

Residents are invited to two open houses to suggest park improvements, ask questions and take a short survey.

The Alexander Park open house takes place Feb. 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Fernwood Community Centre, 1240 Gladstone Ave.

The Hollywood Park open house is Feb. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Margaret Jenkins Elementary school, 1824 Fairfield Rd., in the library.
