The University of Barcelona and the University of British Columbia have signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate academic and cultural exchanges and cooperation in the fields of teaching and research.
This agreement was signed by University of Barcelona rector Dídac Ramírez, and UBC deputy vice-chancellor and principal Deborah Buszard, during a visit of delegations from Canadian universities in June.
The agreement provides for the exchange of students in undergraduate or graduate programs as well as PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty members from both universities. It also includes other actions such as:
· Collaborative research and possible co-authorship of academic papers;
· The organization and the creation of joint academic and scientific activities, for example courses, conferences, seminars, or workshops;
· Exchange of scientific materials, publications and other information;
· As well as cooperation in training projects for specific areas of development.
