Unique jewels, coins stolen from Sidney home

RCMP seeking public's assistance in recovering items stolen earlier this month

A break and enter earlier this month resulted in the theft of some unique items and Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in recovering them.

In a release, Cpl. Chris Manseau said several unique pieces of jewelry were stolen from a residential address.

A collection of gold coins, pocket watches and a sum of gold Krugerrands (South African coins) were also stolen.

Manseau said the detachment continues to investigate several leads.

“These items are unconventional and exclusive and will immediately arouse suspicion should they materialize for sale or trade,” he said.
